About Me

I am a dreamer. not so much a do-er. I can see potential in any car that I dont currently own and any car that I used to own....but never in the car that I currently have.

I am viewing classic vehicles differently these days

So many times per week I have friends and relatives call and ask random questions about their motorized what have yous. What a wonderful feeling! Especially because most if not all of these people are part of the younger generation. I feel good to know that there are still young tinkerers out there today. SO many times in my conversations day to day I find that young people DO HAVE INTEREST in the classic car hobby, but commonly say "I just never had anyone show me" Well, I know that feeling for sure. Everything that I know about vehicles or engines I have had to teach myself. (Which isnt that much by the way) All of the websites on the internet could not compare to five minutes of personal instruction. For example, learning to set points on a 1963 Chevy impala could be quite a task if you did not know what a feeler gauge was. And once you know what the tool looks like and you have it in your hand, knowing how to use it could prove tricky if you only read about point gap or dwell. If you have a talent please share. There are plenty of people who are capable of unbelievable things, they just need someone to take the time.

small engines make me smile

Oh how I love engines and everything that has them. Today I drove my snowmobile all over the yard and it was so very fun!! Even with the half inch of snow that we had. My shop has many small engines waiting their turn to be repaired so that they can offer service once again. My shop is not just designated to small engines. It also doubles as a sanctuary. A place where I can escape from the day to day cash producing cycle of life and sink my teeth into the very fabric of what makes being a man so interesting. I get to be loud....foul, scratch, burp fart, basically I can do what I want and still be productive at the same time. Wait a minute this sounds like my current day job too! Anyways, I'll post some pics of some of the things that I love. I hope you will enjoy your stay!
